Strengthening Customary Institutions Program

Indigenous Peoples Partnership (IPP) work in customary institutions such as literature and culture bodies, customary justices systems, indigenous youths and women, and LGBT through capcity building, partnership, and networking for strengthening peoples' movements, indigenous knowledge transferring, and customary governance systems

Human Rights Program

Sensitization of human rights, human rights education, documentation, and advocating to improve human rights in Myanmar. Indigenous Peoples Partnership also engage in the regional, and international advocacy such as Universal Periodic Review, ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR), and UN Forum on Business and Human Rights.

Land and Territorial Governance Program

Documention of customary land tenure system, strengthening customary land use and planning, demarcating territorial boundaries, strengthening territorial governance, and advocating for the recognition of customary tenure in the upcoming national land law. IPP is working with Mekong Region Land Governance, and Karuna Social Solidarity Mission (KMSS) for customary land tenure documentation and advocacy.

Livelihood Program

Collaborating with indigenous communities in Myanmar to improve livelihood and food security to fight against poverty through introducing indigenous peoples' lead innovative idea for sustainable income generation, and environmental friendly livelihood system.

Environment and Indigenous Environmental Rights Defenders Program

Defending environment is a vital responsibility because environment and nature are essential parts of indigenous peoples live as forest dwellers. On the other, there are signigicant risks and threats imposing on indigenous peoples for defending their land, forest, animals, streams, and rivers. This program aims to support indigenous peoples to safeguard the environment with safety and security.

Indigenous Women Program

This programme provide capacity building to indigenous women in Myanmar to increase women's participation and engagement in different level of decision-making, and policy advocacy works. Recognizing indigenous women being discriminated for being indigenous women and poor, indigenous women face more challenges than what normally we face in our society. This program promote zero-tolerance toward discrimination and equality based on gender and sex.
